Book Crossing
Awesome site! here's how it works: I read a book and I write a review on this site, and I also tell people where I "left" it out in the wild frontier. I can leave it anywhere: cofffee shops, grocery store, gas station, etc. Once I've released it people can see on the site that a book is in the wild and pick it up. Then they can read it and "release again."

International Paper
I love how the homepage asks you to choose your profession. Are you a designer or a printer? Once I'm in "my" area I can pick options designed just for me.

NYTimes: Internet Access for the Cost of a Cup of Coffee
Is it just me or does anybody else wonder what's up with way coffee shops and bakeries are implementing wireless internet access? I mean, seriously, do they really need a T1 line or will DSL or Cable suffice? This article says that Schlotzsky's Deli spent "about $2000" per store and "$300 to $500 a month for the high-speed communications line" each month. That's crazy! My calculations: Hard costs for DSL are under $75 a month in most places. Wireless modem? $200, max. That's really all you need. You don't need a computer to have a WI-FI hot spot. Maybe it is the labor and installation time however I can't imagine it costing that much. Someone please tell me why.

Blast Radius
I love the separation of graphics from content which lets you focus on the part you are interested in. So many sites forget the content and here I feel like they've spent the time to make it work well with the graphics.

Hello Design was featured by CommArts this week and they've got a brand new site out for the Smithsonian Institution about The Making of West Point. There are biographies of some of the more famous graduates and also a neat map showing places explored in the USA.
